Let me introduce ourselves.
We are Doug & Meegan, and we live on a 40 acre farmette in Northern Wisconsin. Our land has a hollow (small valley) in one corner where the deer and wild turkeys gather. The above picture is of the early morning mists hanging above our hollow. "Ivy" is from our last name (Iverson), thus Ivy Hollow Publishing.
Doug & I have been married since 1977, and have raised two wonderful children. We are the epitome of "opposites attract." Doug is a chemist by training and trade and loves all science, history, & social studies. He has spent his 27 year career to date in the printing industry, and the last 17 years specifically working for one of America's largest book manufacturers. And he has just switched careers and this autumn will be teaching high school physics and physical science.
I am the "artistic one", and love scrapbooking, quilting & all things crafty. Together, we have created Ivy Hollow Publishing LLC to some day address all of our interests.
For the future, this will include educational aids, wine-making, essays on gardening and social dilemmas and medical research and fiction and of course, on crafting.
We will also include updates on our three "mascots" - our Shih-tzu (Checkers), our Pekingese (Chyna), and our toy poodle (Isabella).
