Short Cut to ScrapFusion TM

The
Scrappers Perfect Glue
ScrapFusionTM
ScrapFusion TM is by far the best for gluing buttons,
beads, glass & plexiglass elements, page pebbles, gems, glitter,
and more to paper.
We are interested in your success
stories. Let us know how you have used ScrapFusionTM. Send
us a note to suggestions@ivyhollowpub.com
- First
and Foremost, ScrapFusionTM is archival.
- It is pH neutral (acid free)
- It is permanent. It does not let go of what it is
holding on to.
<>It is not removable nor reversible. (un-do® and
other adhesive removers do not break the bond. When you have a
bond which lasts forever, it has to resist breaking down, which
includes resisting adhesive removers.)<><>
<>
- It dries crystal clear
- It is non-hardening. It
stays flexible, never becoming brittle. Embellishments won't pop
off the page as they do when a page is flexed with a brittle glue.
- ScrapFusionTM
will hold onto just about anything that you want to attach to your
cellulose paper or paperboard, such as chipboard, book board, or
cardboard. We haven't found anything that it doesn't work on!
- It is only meant to glue things
to paper. Of the two surfaces you are gluing together, one of the
surfaces must be absorbent cellulose. It won't work to glue beads
to acetate. It won't work to glue fabric to fabric. It
won't work with heavily coated or laminated paper, which acts more like
plastic.
- It does not cause paper to warp and wrinkle. If
gluing large pieces of paper together, hold them flat underneath a flat
heavy object (a large book comes to mind) while the glue dries.
- It is great for binding books.
- It is color safe. (This means that it won't cause
color fast inks to fade or change hue. Some inks are going to
fade or change color, no matter what, because they are made from
unstable color dyes.
- ScrapFusion TM won't
cause color bleeding on objects which are resistant to bleeding with
water. If water will cause the color to bleed, ScrapFusionTM will also, because it is water-based.
- It is not meant for vellum. It makes the vellum more
transparent where it touches, and you don't want that.
It is available in 2 fl. oz.
bottles or a 16 fl. oz. refill.
The 2 fl. oz. size is available with 3 different tops for all of your
scrapping
needs.
All of the 2 fl. oz. size bottles are refillable.
- With a spout top, for normal sized applications to
embellishments.
- With a dauber top, (a built in sponge top) for
applications about a 1/2 inch wide. With this top it applies a
lot like a glue stick.
- With a needle top for ultra precision application, for
those tiny embellishments or die-cuts. The needle is blunt.
Have no fear of accidentally "sticking" yourself.
Tips for using ScrapFusion TM.
- Have a damp rag handy. Use it to dab up any glue
which gets where it doesn't belong, especially off your fingers.
- Don't use too much glue. Don't have the glue
gooshed out beyond your embellishment.
- Don't use too little glue
- If using the spout top bottle, use a bristle or foam
brush to spread the glue evenly over large areas.
- If not certain of the color fastness of your paper or
embellishment, trial the glue before using it in your album.
- Clean up your brushes before the glue dries with warm
water.
- If you forget to cover your dauber top bottle, clean
the sponge with warm water and some gentle scrubbing with your
fingernail. It will work again.
- Use a straight pin to prevent the glue from drying in
the tip of the needle top bottle.
