I'm always working on something. Who could be bored? Right now, in addition to getting the website up and running, I'm working on ideas for our product line. I have some fun things in the works, and I'm anxious to be able to show them to you. In addition, I'm also knitting a pair of socks. This is my first pair of real socks-I have made some that were knit with very bulky yarn, more like house socks, but these that I'm working on are with size 3 needles. I finished the first sock-and am working my way down from the cuff on the second. I think if my family had to rely on me to knit socks for them, they would have had some very cold toes! When our son, Michael, married Melissa almost 6 years ago, I made a bed-sized quilt for them. Now that our daughter, Bronwyn, is engaged, I need to make one for her and Al. Whereas Mike and Melissa had no preconceived notions of which pattern they would like, Bronwyn chose an evil pattern out of a book when she was about 10 years old. Lucky me, this is the only thing she has not changed her mind about. Now mind you, I have been quilting since I was 18 and first married, so I'm not a novice. But I also know too much to tackle the pattern she wants, so I'm designing my own. I bought all of the fabric (which Doug helped choose) and have started the process. I can't tell you too much about it, as it will be a surprise for Bronwyn-but I think she's going to love it. Speaking of engagements, I now have weddings on the brain. Bronwyn is a teacher, and Al is a farmer, so there is a budget. I'm going to be making as many of the paper items as possible, like the invitations, favors, place cards, etc. If you have any wonderful ideas, please email them to me using the "Contact Us" button to the left.
