These beautiful, teardrop shaped malachite stones are shined to perfection and have extremely distinct bands of color ranging from medium to very dark green.

Malachite is considered a "woman's mineral" and represents female beauty, curiosity, and creativity.  The Egyptians began mining this copper-based mineral as early as 5000 BC and dedicated it to Hathor, the Egyptian goddess of beauty, joy, love, and women.  A simple spiral has been added to the bottom of the teardrop, representing growth and rebirth. 

These earrings measure approximately 1" from the bottom of the ear wire and are just under one-half inch across.  The ear wires are made of hypoallergenic silver.
