Turquoise Drops

Turquoise is one of those stones that looks good with pretty much anything.  I'm partial to turquoise stones that have a very greenish hue, and these don't disappoint.  The wire is wrapped in such a way as to make the stone seem secured by the wire on top, giving them a very light look.

Turquoise is one of the stones of Hathor, the Egyptian goddess of joy, love, dance, and music.  This lovely, well-known stone has been mined for thousands of ears, with early mines in Sinai, Egypt already being worked out by 2000 BC.  Turquoise has long been looked upon as a holy stone, a good-luck-charm, or a talisman in cultures spanning across the globe.  It is believed to promote good fortune, happiness, and long life.

Turquoise is the birthstone for those born in December.

This set of earrings measure just under 1" long from the bottom of the ear wire.  The stone itself is 1/2" wide at it's widest point.  The ear wire is made of Bali silver-plated copper that's been hand forged, making each set truly unique!
