Things
Change!
This
column used to be called Message de Jure. It is now called
Ruminations
Things
Change!
Meegan
now has her own section of our website. It is called IVY SCRAPS
and if
you haven't checked it out yet, you should. It's wonderful. There is a
link at
left.
Things
Change!
Ruminating
is to think reflectively about something. Especially if it is
something
thought about before, and you are now thinking about it in greater
depth.
That is what I love to do.
Things
Change!
I
was laid off by my previous employer last year. Meegan and I
started this
business, because at my age, it is difficult to find a job with good
prospects. We had been dreaming about starting this venture in
the
future, so we moved it up.
Things
Change!
I
was not given any good reasons why I was laid off, but I have my
suspicions. Could it be because I refused to be a mindless cog in
their machine?
Was it because I have always believed I could learn anything, do
anything,
contribute to anything, and because I tried to improve every aspect of
my
former employers business. Was it because no matter what I look
at, I see
how it could be better and wasn't shy about vocalizing my
thoughts. Was
it because I cared about the company as if it was my own and like it
was my
own, would stop at nothing to make it better.
Things
Change!
Meegan
has a new job. Started today. So now we don't have the
health
insurance worry. We don't have the worry of meeting daily
expenses.
I'm the stay at home man, taking care of the house and her mother, our
three
puppies and our business.
Things
Change!
For
the first time in a long time, I feel good about our prospects. I
believe
this is God's plan. I believe that God is quite often the source
of the
ideas exposed in my ruminations. I commonly have ideas for which
I can
find no audience. I believe many of these ideas would make the
world a
better place.
Things
Change!
I
will use this forum as a means of sharing my thoughts, my ruminations
with the
world. At the very least, I'll feel better and more
complete. At
the extreme, once an idea is launched, it can take on a life of its
own, and
might grow into an improved life for mankind.
Things
Change!
My
ideas will be incredibly varied. Some of my past thoughts, which
I will
share here in the near future, have varied from alternative energy,
tribal vs.
geographic democracy, ways to protect the environment, improved tax
structures,
and what's wrong with corporate America.
Things
Change, but I guess I haven't.
