Wow, 4 years since my last runimation. I went back to school and earned my teaching license and am certified to teach Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Physical Science. For the past 2 years I have taught physics and physical science in a small rural High School. The kids loved me. They loved the way I taught science. I loved teaching them. I find science so fascinating that it has to be a 2 way conversation whether I am the student or the teacher. That's the way I taught. The kids loved it. In one year, the 9th graders moved up 2 to 3 grade levels in science. It was noisy and interactive

Too bad this didn't meet the one over riding requirement of the school district. I could not, would not, demand absolute quiet in the classroom. I am now looking for a new job.

Is education broken in America? In my opinion it is broken in at least one small Wisconsin school district.
